RULES AND FEATURES
An original solitaire game that has absorbed the rigor of the Spider ,the softness and conciseness of the Klondike Solitaire, and the capacity of the Free Cell. Where the name Breakwater came from is anyone's guess. We assume that the appearance of the original layout with alternating cards (open-closed) in seven sorting columns gave the authors this idea. Indeed, the spread-out cards resemble seven breakwaters that run away from the shore (stable, basic slots) down towards the restless sea, because all the passions for re-laying are raging there.
The layout uses two decks, i.e. 104 cards. Approximately half (49 sheets) are already laid out on the table, the remaining 55 are waiting in the wings in the remainder of the deck at the bottom right. At the top there are 8 base slots( bases), where, according to the rules of solitaire, you will have to shift absolutely all the cards. Aces are placed first on the bases, followed by twos, then threes, and so on. The kings complete the bases. Slots are filled in a strict sequence and in accordance with the suits indicated on them.
The rules for rearranging cards in sorting columns are free in terms of suits and standard in terms of ranking. So, on a card of any suit, you can put any other suit, but only one rank (face value) lower. For example, on the nine of diamonds, only an eight will easily fall, but of any suit. You can move sorted sequences from column to column by dragging them over the desired map and placing them on another map according to the rules.
In the process of shifting, the face-down cards are opened and come into play. When there are no game options on the table — there is nothing to shift or put on the base, you can (and should) take cards from the rest of the deck.
Solitaire is not played for a long time, so you should not rush. It is possible to cancel one or more moves, which significantly increases your chances of winning. Statistics are also kept on the number of moves and time spent on the game.
Flash player plugin is not supported still Feb.21.
