ERUDITE IN ENGLISH

Do you know a board game called Scrabble? In the international version, it is often called Scrabble. The idea is simple. The playing field is a square measuring 15 by 15 cells. Each player is dealt 7 chips, each of which has an English letter drawn on it. With these chips, in their turn, the player puts any invented word on the playing field, of course, if there are all the letters that make up its composition. So players take turns making up and composing new words, linking them to the ones already on the table, similar to a crossword puzzle.

At first glance, many things may seem incomprehensible, but during the game you will understand everything. The first word is laid out so that any of its letters falls into the central cell (marked with an orange label). The next word is docked to one of the letters of the first one, and so on, just like in a crossword puzzle. You can also add letters to words that are already in the field. English is very convenient, by the way. Lying on the table is, say, the word EYE. You can add-S to it, and you get EYES. After each turn, the player is given new letters to replace the spent ones.

Each letter has a weight expressed in points. If you type a word from the letters, you will get the same amount of points for the letters that make up it. However, there are special cells on the field, and if a word passes through such cells, then points for its letters or for the entire word can be doubled or even tripled. There are a lot of words in the game's database, and many of them are found only in dictionaries. It is convenient to use the game for the development of erudition in English.
