You will be protected by the Gods: Zeus, Hades or Poseidon-who you choose. They are able to periodically bring down all sorts of misfortunes on the enemy: thunder and lightning, fireballs, and so on. To use God's help, you need to click the appropriate button at the top and indicate the place where God will manifest his wrath.

You create an army in the game online. Already at the beginning of the level, the enemy begins to attack, his soldiers move towards your palace. To give them a decent fight back, you must immediately start hiring and training your warriors. This is done automatically, but each time, to create a new warrior of one of the three types, you will have to click certain buttons. To replenish the army with a swordsman, click the button with a sword, to hire an archer-click the button with arrows, there is also a button for hiring a warrior with a spear (pike).

Please note that a new warrior does not appear for free. The game balance must have the necessary funds for this. The cost of a warrior is indicated under the button for hiring it. The treasury is replenished when enemy soldiers are destroyed.

The ultimate goal of the level is to destroy the enemy's palace. Your warriors will do it themselves, they just need to get to it, overcoming the enemy's barriers. Here everything is decided not only by the number of fighters, but also by their protection and weapons. Since the power of the enemy increases with each level, you also need to pump your capabilities in a timely manner. Use the Hero, Gods, and Units buttons to do this between levels. Units upgrades fighters, Gods upgrades Gods, and Hero upgrades a hero.

Speaking of the hero, it's not for nothing that the game was called Heroes of Myths. The player has three players to choose from: Hercules, Perseus and Achilles (think of the myths of ancient Greece). Everyone has approximately equal opportunities, and everyone needs to be pumped. The hero is good because he is your main striking force. He is tenacious and deals significant damage to the enemy, replacing a dozen other warriors. However, in practice, with good training of the army, you can do without it. Yes, there can only be one hero in your army at a time. If it falls in battle, you can create a new one.

In Heroes of Myths there is another important button, which is impossible to do without at levels higher than the sixth or seventh. This is a button with a shield —an additional protection for warriors. It works for a short period of time, and when it ends, your army becomes more vulnerable. Therefore, you need to constantly press it, resuming the defensive characteristics of the fighters.
