KLONDIKE SOLITAIRE WITH OPPONENTS

If you are bored with the solo game, but solitaire is your favorite entertainment, we present Klondike Solitaire with opponents. Who are these unknown people who will keep you company, and how can you play solitaire in a competitive way? Let's try to answer these questions.

The authors of Grump (this is the original name of this version of Klondike Solitaire), based on the basic rules and principles of card stacking, added virtual opponents to the game, bots controlled by the program. These are not live people sitting in front of online monitors just like you, no, they are just robots (bots). They act with their inherent accuracy and speed, avoiding blunders and mistakes, but this does not mean that they cannot be replayed.

Each player receives 52 cards in the initial hand. The system of their initial layout has been slightly modified. Yes, this is the same skew formation, but the rightmost (seventh) column, called here Grump pile, contains an increased number of cards and cannot participate in shifts. You can only draw a card from it, and only the top one. The rest of the deck is located in the usual place on the left and is dealt three cards with an unlimited number of swipes.

As previously noted, the transfer of cards is standard for Klondike Solitaire: junior to senior with alternating suits: black five to red six, red jack to black queen, etc. Laying cards on the base is also traditional: aces, deuces on them, then threes and so on to kings. Only here are not 4 bases in solitaire, but as many as 24! This is due to the number of players: 5 bots and you — a total of 6-and it turns out, 4 bases for each. However, specific base cells are not assigned to specific players, but are shared by all players. Each player can put a card in any home cell (base) at any time, following the standard rules of Klondike Solitaire. Only an ace can be placed in an empty base.

The system of moves is not sequential — player by player, but parallel, that is, when you have a card that can be placed on any of the base cells in accordance with the rules, you can immediately throw it there without waiting for the opponent's move. At the same time, the faster you do this, the better, because long thinking will allow your opponents to get ahead of you and put the card on the base faster.

Your task is to get rid of all your cards as quickly as possible. The player who managed to get ahead of everyone gets the victory. The game contains statistics of moves (the list at the bottom), as well as the current alignment of players ' points (in the left column at the top).

Despite the poor quality and indistinct drawing of the cards, the authors managed to add interest and dynamics to solitaire, which clearly cover all the software flaws. From the editorial board-solid five-we recommend it!
