The game has shades that are inherent in shooting games-flyers. Hordes of enemies are closing in on your castle like galactic fighters attacking your battle cruiser. However, the action in the game takes place on the ground, not in the sky or in space, so the analogy is given only in comparison of the principles and mechanics of gameplay.
There are various types of enemies that attack the castle in orderly groups: bats and trolls with maces... As usual, the resistance to shots is different for everyone, and therefore, your gun needs constant modernization (upgrade). Don't forget to improve other characteristics of the castle's defensive structures as well.
At each level, you must fight off several waves of invaders, destroying them all to a single one. If you let the attackers get too close, they will begin to collapse the wall, thereby causing significant damage to the castle's defenses. A few invaders are quite capable of destroying the fortification of the wall in a short time, and then the castle will be defeated. Watch out for this and don't let them get close.
