REPAINT IT

This puzzle game consists of 144 small colored squares packed into one large square with a side of 12. The player's task is to repaint the large square in any of the six available colors in the minimum number of steps (moves). A set of these colors, each of which is a button, is located at the bottom below the square. Repainting starts from the upper-left corner, i.e. from the very first small square.

Let's start over. After downloading the game, click on the play button under the text BEST 13 (this, by the way, means that the puzzle record is 13 steps). A black box appears with a cross at the top. Click it and the puzzle opens. So, in front of you is the same large square consisting of many small six-color color palettes.

Regardless of the color of the upper-left square, study its surroundings. The environment should be understood as adjacent squares that touch the base of any of the sides (touching an angle does not count!). If you find that the environment is dominated by, say, red, then click on red at the bottom of the palette. The original square will add all the red ones from the environment to itself, and it will turn red itself. Thus, you will get an area consisting of several squares.

When exploring the further environment by analogy (only now in the red area), choose the next color to attach. Etc. Try to repaint everything in fewer moves.

Unfortunately, there is only one level in this puzzle, but you can return to it again and again, trying to beat the magic record of 13, and repaint the square, for example, in 12 steps. Write us if you can!
