You need to stop it so that it stands exactly above the last one. That is, you should try to combine the right and left walls of the installed floor with those already installed earlier.

If you didn't manage to catch the exact moment of stopping perfectly, and the walls of the floors didn't align, then the newly installed floor is cut off from the protruding side. Blocks are served without stopping, one after the other. Over time, their width (due to inaccuracy of installation) will decrease until the next floor turns into a narrow column. Thus, the more accurately you place the blocks, the higher the tower will get. And its height directly affects your game points and bonuses.
