ROYAL SUDOKU

This royal number puzzle is a crossword puzzle for those who feel like a fish in water in the world of Sudoku. Believe me, these are not just words. To begin with, the size of the field here is huge, the largest that can be found at all. 16 cells horizontally and 16 vertically, 4 small squares in a row, and 4 in a column. There are also 16 cells in each small square.

Of course, you can't fill in 16 cells with numbers from 1 to 9, so the number series here has been expanded to 16. Moreover, the player can choose not to fill in numbers, but alphabetic (A, B, C, D, etc.) or mixed, which contains both letters and numbers. So, the options for filling the royal Sudoku look like this:

• Number series from 1 to 16.
• Letter series from A to P.
• Numbers from 1 to 9 and letters from A to G.

According to the rules of the game, to solve the puzzle, you need to fill all the empty cells with content (numbers or letters). There are strict restrictions on filling in the form. Numbers (letters) should not be repeated in any small square or in any large row or column. If you managed to achieve compliance with these restrictions and you did not leave a single free cell in the entire large square, then we can congratulate you — you have solved Sudoku.

A little bit about the settings. On the left, you can see two custom fields: Combo and Given. The first of them does not carry any semantic load and indicates only the layout number. All other things being equal, if you enter the same number in this field, you will always get the same arrangement of numbers (letters) in the square. Using this setting, you can easily return to a certain game that you, for example,did not fully understand, but you already know many of the locations of numbers and letters.

By changing the value of the Given field, you can adjust the number of numbers (letters) that are initially displayed in the square. For example, if you enter the number 20 in this field, at the beginning of the game you will get 20 numbers (letters) that are already placed in their proper places in the cells. This way, you can make the task more complex or easier. To apply the changes made to these 2 fields, click Generate. The Clear tab button clears all cells in the large square. Be careful not to accidentally tap it while solving the puzzle.
